Halo 4 Controller

Post 117

I can’t believe it guys! My 117th post here on Beauty Geek! So, in honor of a certain Spartan Warrior and the new Halo 4 game, I decided I’d do a quick little review on the game and the awesome controller.

Since Bungie sold Halo over to 343 Industries, I was worried that the 4th game wouldn’t be as good as the others, but I was wrong. 343 gracefully and skillfully took over the franchise, and they certainly didn’t ruin anything for me. The game takes place on the Forerunner planet, Requiem where he battles against the Covenant and the warriors of the Forerunner empire called the Prometheans.

The game begins on the UNSC frigate Forward Unto Dawn, where Master Chief has been in cryo for four years. Cortana, the cloned brain of Dr. Catherine Halsey (the creator of the SPARTAN Project), woke Chief as their ship came upon Requiem. They became caught in the planet’s gravity well and crashed on the planet. As the much loved duo explores the Forerunner planet, Cortana starts malfunctioning. She explains that AI’s only live for about 7 years, and then go rampant where AI’s literally “think” themselves to death. John promises her that he’ll get her to Halsey to get her fixed. Cortana replies “Don’t make a girl a promise you can’t keep.” Referring to Halo 2 where she says something similar. That was almost enough to make me tear up. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

They eventually find the human vessel Infinity who, after Cortana tries to tell them not to come towards Requiem, crashes into the planet as well. In an attempt to deactivate the jammers interfering with communications, Chief releases the Diadact from his prison, who then takes control of both the Prometheans and the Covenant…

Sadly, this is about as far as I’ve gotten… >.< I know, I know, the game’s been out for a while now and I’ve barely gotten anywhere in it. It’s quite depressing, really. So for those of you who haven’t played the game yet, you got lucky. No Spoilers! lol.

I also got one of the new Halo 4 themed Xbox 360 controllers the day of release (which was November 6. Is anyone bothered that they didn’t take the opportunity of releasing it on November 7?…because the date would have been 11/7…. 117. Chief’s number…anyone takers?). Here are the pics:
