My ThinkGeek Wish-list

ThinkGeek is one of my favorite places to shop because they’ve got tons of geek-friendly stuff. From Portal to Star Wars, they’ve got everything this girl’s geeky heart desires. Unfortunately, this little geek can’t always afford all the awesome stuff she wants. 😦 So, to ease the pain of not being able to buy my much-longed for Portal Gun, I’m sharing my wish-list of ThinkGeek stuff.

this is not a sponsored post. all thoughts on products shown here are my own.

First up is the one product that I’ve wanted pretty much ever since I saw it on their site. I mean this was one of those “love-at-first-site” kinda deals. It was heart-breaking to see the price tag on this precious piece of geeky awesomeness ($119.99 USD). I mean come on, who can’t love this? It’s a full-scale replica of the Aperture Science Portal Gun, and what’s more, it comes with two sets of removable colored stripes (blue and yellow, a set for Atlas and one of P-Body from the Co-op game). It features all LED light effects, switching from red, yellow/orange, blue and purple. When you pull the trigger the gun makes the amazing “firing” sound. *insert sigh here*

Next up is, yup, another Portal-related item. If you couldn’t tell, Portal is one of my all-time favorite video games. In Portal (for those who don’t know) there’s this cute little cube with hearts all over it called the Companion Cube. One day, I plan on somehow making a life-size cube for myself. But in the meantime this would be the perfect substitute (besides a plush cube, but I have that one thanks to BF for Christmas last year ^_^…though Harli thinks that he got it for her =_=). Besides, I do need a cookie jar. And what better cookie jar to have than a Portal Companion Cube Cookie Jar?Β

Ok, so I just found this one as I was browsing the website….and I must say….

Shut Up And Take My Money!!!

Isn’t this the most awesome thing ever?? I have this unexplainable love for the Portal Turrets, but then again who doesn’t. Sadly, this is likely to stay on my wish-list for a loooooong time, because it comes with a whopping $299.99 USD price tag! O.O This really puts that Portal Gun into perspective…..

This one probably isn’t going to be staying on my wish list for much longer, but we’ll see. Though I have been needing a new hoodie, and this one is perfect to feed my Minecraft addiction. Enter, Minecraft University Hoodie! Cool eh? It features the Minecraft University motto on the front: “Ad Gloriam et Porcos” (For pigs and glory!). And the M.U. crest on the back. πŸ™‚

I’ve been wanting these ones for quite some time, and once BF and I have our own place I think I’m going to order them. πŸ™‚ I mean come on, why eat with boring wood chopsticks when you can eat your Panda Express Take-out (best Chinese fast-food evar, btw) with Light Saber Chopsticks! Woot! I may use a couple of sets for my hair as well… πŸ™‚

Now this next one…is just too neat to pass up. I wouldn’t call myself a Trekkie, but I like to sit down and watch the show whenever my dad is watching it on Netflix. And since I’m the kind of gal that likes clever plays on geeky items (like above light saber chopsticks or portal cookie jar), I have been itching to buy the Star Trek Enterprise Pizza Cutter so I can (as ThinkGeek wittily puts it) Boldly cut pizza where no man has cut before! This is another product that I’m most likely going to buy once I move out with the BF, but for the time being it’s out of stock. 😦

I think now’s a good time to end this torture for you guys. Lol. And with that, I bid you good-day, and see you next week! πŸ™‚

till next post, Katie
