Good morning everyone. Today I am here with a review on a set of makeup brushes from Tmart.com. Tmart.com is a website that sells loads of different stuff, from makeup to nail art stuff (I’m probably going to end up buying something from that category one day). They even sell things like iPhone cases and electronic accessories. This could prove to be a useful site when it comes time to do some Christmas shopping ;).
I was sent the Tmart 8pcs Professional Cosmetic Makeup Brush Set with Case Pink set. They come in a pink roll-up bag with letters on it. Each of the brushes has a white wooden handle and a pretty pink ferrule (the metal piece that holds the brush bristles on the handle). The bristles are made of white artificial fiber that’s dyed pink at the ends. Here’s what came in the bag:
- Two-purpose eyebrow comb
- Lipstick brush
- Powder/blush brush
- Large eyeshadow brush
- Small eyeshadow brush
- Eyeliner brush
- Sponge brush
- Eye definer brush
I was surprised at how soft the brushes were and how well-made they felt, as they were only $4. I’ve been using them for about a week, and have come to conclusions on each brush.
I don’t use it often, but it comes in handy when the brows are misbehaving in the morning. It’s also perfect for untangling eyelashes so I can better apply my mascara.
I used it once for the sake of the review, and I can say that it does work well. But, I probably won’t use it again simply because I find it easier to put the lipstick directly on my lips.
This is one that I use every single day for my Mineral Veil from bareMinerals. It’s perfect for the fine powder, and distributes the powder evenly.
Large Eyeshadow Brush
I love using this brush to apply the base color to my lids. It’s super soft and gentle too!
Small Eyeshadow Brush
I use this to apply the color to my creases and to blend the crease color out. Like it’s larger counterpart, it’s soft and gentle on my lids. ❤
Oh. My. Gosh. I’ve been needing a new eyeliner brush for a while, especially since I just started using gel liner (lemme tell you, I have fallen in absolute L-O-V-E with this stuff…I don’t know how I stayed with liquid liner for so long). This brush has been a joy to use, it’s thin enough to give me the narrow lines I love but stiff enough to give me lots of control. 🙂
I used this once when testing all the brushes out to smudge my shadows together. It worked alright, but I prefer to just use my small shadow brush for this job. I can see it being useful if rubbed in makeup remover to clean up a little bit though.
Eye Definer Brush
Honestly, I’m not entirely sure what it’s supposed to be for. Creases? Liner? No clue. So…I used it to put shadow onto my crease for the first go round. It worked ok for the job, but again, I prefer to use my small shadow brush.
And here is how my makeup turned out after using these brushes. I did a classic smokey eye and a fairly neutral lip.
These brushes from Tmart.com are really well made. The bristles are super soft and gentle, making applying makeup even more enjoyable. I love the colors and the length of the handles make the brushes nice and comfortable to hold.
