Don’t Let Someone Else Sink Your Ship

Another Sunday, another week, which means another Quote. I’m excited about this design, it took a while to get it just right. And I’ve got a surprise for you guys later this week relating to it!

Have you ever had a dream, or a goal that you wanted to reach? Where there people that always told you that it’d never happen, that you couldn’t do it, or that it was impossible? How many times did those people actually lead to you giving up? I’ve found that I’m guilty of having let others sink my dreams in the past. And I’d like to change that.

We have to realize that we are the Captains of our own ships, or dreams. And that as captains, it’s our job duty to ensure that no one is able to sink them. Others will attempt to fire cannonballs into the hull and perhaps one or two makes contact. But what matters is that we do not allow those hits to let us take on water. We must seal them and keep sailing forward. While the occasional storm will make a ship sink, as the captain we are the only ones responsible for the fail or success of a voyage, and a good captain is capable of bringing their ship out of danger.

So let’s stop letting what others say or think about our dreams affect us. Why should they have the power over you to control which of your dreams or goals you do or don’t reach?

till next post, Katie
