Weekly Rewind 14: Happy Birthday To Me!

It’s that time of the week again guys….it’s Saturday!!! The weekend is finally here and it’s time for some relaxation.

As of Wednesday of this week I am officially 21! Woo time to party. Not. I am so not the party gal. However, this has honestly been the most eventful and fun birthday week that I’ve had yet. Since I’m off on Wednesdays, the family and I all went down to Epcot for the day to celebrate. My first official drink was a frozen mango margarita in Mexico (say that 5 times fast) and it was pretty decent. Turns out Wednesday was not the best of days to have alcohol, it was just too darn hot and humid all day.

On the brighter side, we did have a nice day and my parents even bought me a tiara for my birthday so I was technically a princess for a day XD . Towards the end of the day we all went back to Mexico and had a superb dinner at one of the restaurants there, of course after it had poured on us…but at least afterwards it wasn’t hot.

Thursday was another work day, but since summer is here the clinic has slowed down a lot, so two of the techs were sent home an hour early, so I took that as a little birthday gift from work to me, to be able to leave an entire hour early. Pretty nice, considering we are open from 7:30 am to 6 pm most of the week and I had spent 90% of the day in the heat.

So far though, yesterday has been my favorite day of celebration. After babysitting my nephew all day for my sister while she went to work, we went to dinner with all of our work friends for a meal and a couple of drinks. Between you and me, it was my true very first “girl’s night” in my life. I know, sad for a brand new 21-year-old. But I thoroughly enjoyed it and hopefully we’ll be able to do it more often.

And to top off the week, tonight my mother, sister and I are going to a local steakhouse for dinner and – of course – a drink. Afterwards I’ll be spending the night with the new flame and we’ll get some quality time together and maybe do something for my birthday, just the two of us. Tomorrow he’ll bring me back to the house and we plan on having dinner with my parents.

I suppose in some aspects my 21st birthday celebration is probably super tame compared to most people’s. But like I said before, I’m no party girl. I’m very much a homebody and prefer a night of Netflix to the idea of clubbing. So this week has actually been quite eventful for me. Lol.

How did your week go guys? Any other birthdays this month? And is it just me or are there an awful lot of June birthdays?

till next post, Katie
