Too often in life, especially as we all get older and face the hardships that everyone goes through in life, we find ourselves losing interest in the things we used to find magical as a child. We stop believing in things like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. We stop seeing things with the interest and spark that we used to. So this week’s quote reflects that…
I know it’s hard, after facing the daily grind and going through the motions each week. And it’s even harder if you’ve had to lose something or someone that you loved. You stop seeing things as special and shiny. Eventually everything in our lives seem lackluster compared to the days of our youth.
But we should all try to keep finding the things in our lives that are new and different, unique and special. Never let the things around you stop striking you as wonderful. Look around you each day and try to find at least one thing that seemed magical and precious. A hummingbird, or a flower growing in a parking lot. The way a mother cares for her children, or how the stars and moon shine at night. We overlook and take all of these little things for granted, but each of them in their own way are sort of magical. You just have to look a little harder for them. I assure you they are still there.
So get out there this week and find yourself some magic!
