Tomorrow Is A New Day

So you’ve had a bad day, a bad week, maybe a bad month or even a bad year. I think the one thing we are all really good at is focusing on the bad that has happened today or in the past, instead of looking forward to the good that could come from tomorrow. So take this week’s quote to heart.

Tomorrow is a brand new day, a new chance to succeed. Another opportunity for greatness. It’s so easy to live in the past, to linger on the bad and the hurt. It takes a tremendous amount of strength and courage for a person to let go and move forward, to look at tomorrow with hope for a better day.

So you failed a test today. Tomorrow is a chance to study more, to do more homework, and when the next test comes up it’s a chance to do better. Maybe you didn’t get the job you interviewed for, the one that you thought was perfect for you. Well, tomorrow is just a chance to find that other job, the one that’s actually perfect for you.

We get so caught up in our failures and losses and we make ourselves miserable in the process. Why would you want to live that way? Why not accept what has come to pass and look forward in the hopes of a better future?

So here’s a challenge for you guys this week. Work on letting go of the bad things that happen during your days. Go ahead and get mad, get frustrated and annoyed in the moment. But once that moment passes, try to let it go and accept that nothing is going to change what happened. But your attitude now can change the way tomorrow will go. Wake up each day this week with a reminder to yourself that this day will be different, it will be better, it is the opportunity for everything to go perfectly. A clean slate to draw on. Because at the end of each day, this slate is wiped off. We remember what used to be drawn there, yes. But it’s no longer there and shouldn’t be worried over, or you’ll find the same drawings – the same mistakes and problems – popping up again on today’s slate.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week. ❤

till next post, Katie
