I love pizza. That’s one of the few things I know for sure about my life. And while I enjoy sitting down with some slices of pizza, and while pizza is an entirely acceptable party of any college-age party, I wanted to mix things up a little and make it a little classier (if that’s even possible with pizza). These pizza pinwheels are small and handheld, and dippable!
- Jar of Spaghetti or Pizza Sauce
- Refrigerated Pizza Dough
- Cheese of your choice
- Pepperoni & other toppings
Start off by opening the pre-made pizza dough and unroll it only a pan lined with tin foil to keep it from sticking (psst – it also give you one less thing to clean! 🙂 ) Layer on your sauce and any toppings you’d like. Don’t add as much cheese as you’d normally do for a pizza – remember this will be rolled so you’d end up with an overwhelming mouth full of cheese and a couple of toppings (I learned this the hard way).
After you’ve got all your toppings layered on, carefully roll the dough up and seal the sides together by squishing the dough to itself. I then sliced into the dough to give the toppings some breathing room. Bake in an oven preheated to 350 for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Afterwards, pull it out of the oven, slice & serve with warm sauce for dipping. It is a little messy but definitely worth it!
