Navy & Silver Chevron Nails

It’s been a while since my last nail art post – and to be honest I’ve been having a hard time finding inspiration for new blog posts in general. Let’s just say that there’s been a few changes that I’m still adjusting to and rearranging my schedule for (I’ll get to that in a later post). Anyhow….

This design can be either really easy to accomplish or a little meticulous. It just depends on the method you choose. Also to be noted: I swear the main color is a dark navy blue – it’s really hard to photograph and even looks almost black IRL.

Ok. So the first way of doing it is with nail decals. That’s the easiest and most sensible way to go about it, especially if you want those perfectly spaced lines. I got mine here (NOT a sponsored post).

The second method is to do the chevron design by hand using this freehand method I posted a while ago along with the Chevron and Coral nail design

So first you would place several dots in a grid pattern as evenly as possible – making sure that the dots are SMALL. These are just acting as placeholders. Next you’ll carefully connect the dots, making zig zag lines. Finally you just need to fill in the chevron pattern. This method leads to a larger chevron print, so if you like the look and have a steady hand feel free to tackle it!

I prefer using the decals for sure – it’s just a heck of a lot easier to slap on a decal and add paint. XD

Everything else is pretty self explanatory – the ring finger is silver, middle finger is chevron, and other fingers are the navy blue. 🙂

Polishes Used:

  • Got Yacht? – Trust Fund Beauty
  • Gilty Party – Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

I hope you rock this pretty fall design – and you could even wear it into winter too!
