Polish For A Cure Swatches & First Impressions

I know, I know. I’m a little tiny bit late to the show on these beauties, but my schedule absolutely has NOT allowed any time for swatching. So here, today, right now, I am sharing with you my thoughts and first impressions on Live Love Polish’s Polish For A Cure Collection for October (aka Breast Cancer Awareness Month!). For a limited time (in fact, I think they JUST did a final restock today *gasp*) Live Love Polish is selling these polishes on their site, and $1 from every polish bought is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! How awesome is that??

*and cue disclaimer…I bought all of these myself, this is NOT a sponsored post! all thoughts and opinions are 100% real and my own 🙂 *

Now time for the swatching! I was even able to record the swatches today! Yipeeee!

Hope is a super pretty light pink with subtle scattered holographic shimmer.

Her application is really nice! 100% opaque in 2 coats, which is what I like and need in my nail polish.

Above: Hope under daylight bulbs. The holo shimmer is definitely more pronounced in the bottle, but the shimmer is definitely still there on the nails!

Below: Hope under natural light. Even without direct lighting, she’s still a really cute baby pink! ❤

Overall? Great formula, easy and smooth application. Decent dry time. Hope is great for Spring or early Summer.

Fight Like A Girl

Fight Like A Girl is what Live Love Polish is describing as a “medium pink”, which for this collection definitely holds true. Fight Like A Girl isn’t as bright as Warrior, but has more holo than Hope does for sho!

Yay for another 2 coater! This one reminds me a lot of ‘Menchie The Cat‘ from Starrily.

Above: under daylight bulbs. Holy cow look at that holo shift! I can’t wait to wear this one soon!

Below: natural light. Not as glowy, but even with just the natural lighting you can clearly see the rainbows! *insert heart eyes here*

My thoughts are ranging from “OMG GIMME MORE” to “ooooooooooooooo this is prettyyyyyy” #zombieface

Fight Like A Girl has me absolutely mesmerized. (and is also appropriate for ALL YEAR)

Lastly, but not leastly, my favorite of the bunch…. Warrior. She’s a gorgeous super holo fuchsia (or raspberry as the site says) polish. *drools*

Opaque in 2 coats – what were you expecting this one to fail? lol. How about “Exceeds Expectations”. I had a super real moment when applying Warrior where my eyes almost fell straight out of my head because the goo-goo eyes were MASSIVE. Why is holo so mesmerizing and relaxing at the same time?

Above: daylight bulbs! do I really need to say anything? nah….I’ll let the pic speak for itself (even though absolutely none of these do any of the polishes any justice).

Below: natural light – somehow Warrior’s holo is more subdued under natural light (indirect, mind you, I’m sure under direct sun you go blind) than Fight Like A Girl. Nonetheless, uber pretty and I’m in L.O.V.E.

Warrior….well again, is my favorite. You can definitely count on seeing this in the future. I would recommend wearing this for any time of the year, especially if you’re feeling “extra”.  🙂

Final Thoughts

Considering Live Love Polish JUST started making their own polishes (after hosting a shop that sells other indie brands) I’m blown away by the quality of all three of these gorgeous polishes. The colors are amazing and so is the cause.

These babies go for $16 USD a piece, or $39 for the set of 3. Again, these are limited edition so I don’t know how much longer they’ll be available. I’d imagine that they will probably discontinue them by the end of October. Maybe they’ll bring them back next year?

Overall, if you love pink, holographic anything and you love supporting a good cause, these are definitely worth the buy.

What do you guys think? What kind of nail art would you want to see these in? Have you tried them? Let me know your thoughts down below!!!
